Rob has a keen interest in advocacy and representation, and is a strong and measured advocate for the clients of Worrall Moss Martin Lawyers.

Rob Meredith, LL.B., is litigation lawyer at Senior Associate level, leading our Estate & Trust Disputes practice area and working closely with Eve Hickey.  Rob concentrates on providing advice and advocacy for Worrall Moss Martin Lawyers’ clients who find themselves involved in the complex and difficult legal area of estate litigation and estate dispute resolution.

Rob practiced as a barrister after graduating from the University of Tasmania in 2010.   He completed his pupillage in 2013, initially under (the now) Justice Stephen Estcourt QC and later under Chris Gunson SC, before joining another local firm.   Rob joined Worrall Moss Martin Lawyers in 2019.

Rob has a keen interest in advocacy and representation.   He is a strong and measured advocate for the clients of Worrall Moss Martin Lawyers, representing them diligently both in and out of Court.   His significant court experience sees Rob regularly appearing as counsel on behalf of his clients.

Recent projects have included

  • advising a client on resolving a difficult intestacy issue in a cost-effective manner in relation to a small estate
  • acting for a beneficiary left without provision from a complex estate worth in excess of $5 million dollars
  • acting for a beneficiary in negotiating a resolution to a complex estate dispute with international assets and tax issues
  • assisting a beneficiary left without adequate provision to make a claim for further provision to the Supreme Court of Tasmania under the Testator’s Family Maintenance Act 1912

Rob is committed to helping others.   He is the President of The Link, a youth health services organisation in Hobart delivering free, confidential, health and wellbeing services for young people, and which operates and delivers services to young people through Headspace Hobart.   Rob has served as a board member of several local not for profit community organisations.   He has spent time tutoring in law at the University of Tasmania.

Rob is a member of the Law Society of Tasmania and is also a member of the Law Society of Tasmania Elder & Succession Law Committee.
