Eve Hickey, B.A. LL.B. (Hons), is a lawyer working as an assistant to Director Peter Worrall. She works closely with Peter Worrall, Adrian Hutchinson, and the team of lawyers and support staff in the Estate Planning and Commercial and Property practice areas at Worrall Moss Martin Lawyers.
Eve assists Peter Worrall with a range of commercial documents and advice, in addition to assisting with the drafting of complex Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney and other Estate Planning documents.
Eve is a graduate of the University of Tasmania with First Class Honours, and holds a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice.
Eve enjoys thinking strategically and finding solutions to complex legal problems. She is motivated to continue her learning and development by undertaking further study in the area of estate law, and by keeping up to date with current case law and developments.
In addition to her interest in Estates and Commercial practice, Eve is passionate about animal law, which was the topic of her undergraduate honours thesis. Outside of the law, Eve participates in competitive dancing and practices yoga.
Recent projects have included
- drafting the response to a complaint to the Credit & Investments Ombudsman on behalf of a commercial client
- assisting Peter Worrall to draft advice about the rights of beneficiaries in the distribution of a complex estate
- preparing materials about the capacity of Appointors of trusts for an upcoming Estates and Trusts conference in Queensland
