Alex Cordova, B.Bus. LL.B., is a litigation lawyer working with Sam McCullough, Trevor McKenna, Kate Hanslow and Donna Woodleigh in the Estate & Trust Disputes and Family Law practice areas. He is a key part of our team based approach to providing service to our clients involved in litigation matters.
Alex joined Worrall Lawyers in 2016 as an undergraduate Law Clerk. He was admitted to practice as a lawyer by the Supreme Court of Tasmania in 2017.
Alex has unparalleled enthusiasm for the law, and enjoys working alongside clients to plan and implement legal solutions that are right for them as individuals. He is organised, efficient, confident and clients find him very easy to get along with.
Alex has a passion for sports, and is a keen soccer and tennis player. He also enjoys exploring the beautiful surroundings that Tasmania has to offer. He has travelled extensively overseas, including studying in the Czech Republic.
Alex is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English. These range of languages makes him equipped to deal with matters within different communities, and cross-border dealings.
He is also the founder and operator of a successful and growing online retail business, which includes suppliers located overseas, and customers from all around Australia.
Recent projects have included
- assisting in the preparation of a matter for a final hearing in the Supreme Court of Tasmania, including client conferences, briefing a barrister, legal research and strategic planning
- taking and preparing statements for potential witnesses in a potential claim based on equitable estoppels and constructive trust
- liaising with a Queensland agent to commence a family provision claim in Queensland on behalf of a Tasmanian based client
- assisting with the drafting of Wills, Powers of Attorney, and Instruments Appointing an Enduring Guardian
